Jim Aldwinckle

Jim Aldwinckle

I became a Christian in 1974 at the age of 29 after a “Damascus Road” experience. My church ministry spans 25 years of working in youth and children’s work, some of which was in part-time paid ministry with Reachout Community Church Wellingborough; I then moved into a full-time pastoral role, mainly supporting the older members of the congregation, and in 2009, I took on responsibility for the RCC branch church in Irchester.

I officially retired from the Wellingborough Church in 2010 but continue serving as Senior Pastor in Irchester, with my wife Mary alongside me.

I am the Church Administrator, undertaking all secretarial duties and ensuring the smooth running of the church by making sure that essential supplies are well stocked. In addition, I assist Jim in his pastoral work and together we run a weekly coffee morning and a parent and toddler group.

I became a Christian in 1970. I was a children's worker in the church for 25 years and ran a lunch club for the elderly for 10 years. My secular work included 25 years as a school secretary, for children with special needs. When I retired from school, I worked as the Church Administrator at RCC Wellingborough for 6 years, some of which time overlapped our work in Irchester.

I'm 25 years old, and live and work in Wellingborough. Apart from a short break while studying for my degree at Cardiff, I have been fellowshipping at RCCI since I was 12 years old. On the team, I keep the leadership up to date with the activities of the young adult’s ministry and often preach at our Sunday services. I also support the worship team either on drums or guitar.

I have lived in Irchester for many years and am a founder member of the Reachout Community Church when it started in 1999. I have, with others, prayed for a Pentecostal Church in the village since I can remember and was very excited when our prayers were answered. I continue to pray for Irchester and lead a prayer walk around the village every week throughout the year, I am passionate about prayer and have seen God answer many prayers over the years.

I am part of the leadership team and also on a Sunday morning I lead the welcome team, I believe it is important that everyone receives a warm welcome as they join us for worship. I look forward to welcoming you.
