Our Leadership Team
I became a Christian in 1974 at the age of 29 after a “Damascus Road” experience. My church ministry spans 25 years of working in youth and children’s work, some of which was in part-time paid ministry with Reachout Community Church Wellingborough; I then moved into a full-time pastoral role, mainly supporting the older members of the congregation, and in 2009, I took on responsibility for the RCC branch church in Irchester.
I officially retired from the Wellingborough Church in 2010 but continue serving as Senior Pastor in Irchester, with my wife Mary alongside me.
I am the Church Administrator, undertaking all secretarial duties and ensuring the smooth running of the church by making sure that essential supplies are well stocked. In addition, I assist Jim in his pastoral work and together we run a weekly coffee morning and a parent and toddler group.
I became a Christian in 1970. I was a children's worker in the church for 25 years and ran a lunch club for the elderly for 10 years. My secular work included 25 years as a school secretary, for children with special needs. When I retired from school, I worked as the Church Administrator at RCC Wellingborough for 6 years, some of which time overlapped our work in Irchester.
I am married to Julie and we have three children and one granddaughter. Julie & I became Christians about 29 years ago and love serving God together. I am the Assistant Pastor here at RCCI and responsible for some of the pastoral care in the church, a member of the leadership team and help with some of the outreach groups held in our building. I also help Julie with the Sunday School class for age 11 upwards.
I have worked in Neighbourhood Management and Community Safety for ten years which has given me great experience in working in partnership with communities and various organisations. I have been an AoG accredited minister for many years and have worked in large and small churches which has shown me that individual people matter more than numbers and the spiritual health of a church is key, when people are growing in their faith they are where God wants them to be.
In my role on the Leadership Team, I am a Trustee with responsibility for Finance.
With a burden to see our children know and love the Word of God, I run our weekly Explorer Bible Class for children aged 7-11 years.
I am a member of the leadership team and look after the Audio Visual presentation and equipment. I also lead the Impact Men's Ministry and publish the Church Notices.
James is 25 years old, and lives and works in Wellingborough. Apart from a short break while studying for his degree at Cardiff, James has been fellowshipping at RCCI since he was 12 years old. On the team, James keeps the leadership up to date with the activities of the young adult’s ministry. From time to time, James preaches at our Sunday services, also supporting the worship team either on drums or guitar.
I have lived in Irchester for many years and am a founder member of the Reachout Community Church when it started in 1999. I have, with others, prayed for a Pentecostal Church in the village since I can remember and was very excited when our prayers were answered. I continue to pray for Irchester and lead a prayer walk around the village every week throughout the year, I am passionate about prayer and have seen God answer many prayers over the years.
I am part of the leadership team and also on a Sunday morning I lead the welcome team, I believe it is important that everyone receives a warm welcome as they join us for worship. I look forward to welcoming you.
