One of our aims is :
“To prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4 verses 12-13
The Bible is the most fantastic guidebook for our lives; it is the main way that God communicates with us and reveals his heart and mind in all matters. It prepares us for service, builds up our faith, teaches us how to live, strengthens us when we are in difficult times, corrects us when we stray, shows us how great is the love of God for us, encourages and inspires us when we read about courageous men and women of God in times gone by, gives us hope for the future, and much more as well.
That’s why we have regular times of corporate Bible study; we feel it is vital. Usually the 1st Tuesday of the month is a prayer and worship evening, and the other Tuesdays are Bible Studies. We often study a book at a time over a period of weeks. We find out the context in which the scripture was written and discuss what we can learn from it. It is amazing how relevant God’s Word is for the 21st century even though it was written so long ago.
